The Art of Flavour.

13th-17th June 2026 | Limited Spaces

An Exclusive Culinary Retreat

13–17 June | Château de Cadrès, France

The Art of Flavour is a four-night culinary and wellness retreat held in an exclusive château in southwest France. Limited to six guests, the experience brings together hands-on, vegetable-led cooking, thoughtful wine pairings, embodied practices, and deep rest. Days unfold slowly between the kitchen, the table, and the surrounding landscape, with the space for learning, creativity, and integration. This is an intimate, immersive exploration of flavour — not only on the plate, but in how we move, eat, and live.

A culinary retreat for those who value time, intention, and craft — people drawn to food as culture and conversation, who prefer thoughtful pacing and generous hospitality in intimate settings

At The Art of Flavour, days unfold with a gentle rhythm, blending hands-on cooking, shared meals, and taking the time to linger outdoors. Here, we create space to step away from the fast hustle of modern life, and move into a space of discovery.

Food is both the canvas and the connection at this retreat. Led by private chef Jen Dickson, you will work with seasonal produce, learning how to layer taste, texture, and aroma with confidence and intuition.

The food here is not treated as a spectacle, but as part of the rhythm of the days — grounding, generous, and quietly memorable.

Your Stay.

Tucked away in a valley of southwest France, Château de Cadres is a space where time slows down. Surrounded by private parkland and forest, it is a haven for nature and wildlife, offering you time to pause, breathe and simply be. Mornings unfold with soft light, where you can wander shaded paths, listen to the birds, or linger with a coffee as the landscape awakens.

Here, days flow naturally between the kitchen, the table and quiet moments outdoors — whether it be swimming, resting on the hammock, or taking time to read.

A Day at the Château.

The Art of Flavour, a culinary retreat—

    • The day begins slowly, with tea, coffee, and a gentle yoga practice.

    • A relaxed breakfast is shared together.

    • The kitchen opens for the day’s culinary session. Each class is hands-on and exploratory, focused on technique, flavour-building, and the intelligence of vegetables. Space for questions, experimentation, and conversation — not a demonstration, but a shared practice.

    • The dishes prepared in the morning are enjoyed together, paired with thoughtfully chosen wines, if desired. Meals are unhurried, generous, and convivial.

    • Afternoons are intentionally spacious. Depending on the day, this may include a visit to a local town, a tasting, or time to rest.
